Gadget fetish

Gadgets I might buy over the next 12 months:

Garmin Aviation GPSMAP 195
4.1+ mega-pixel Digital Still Camera – still watching the market to see what’s released over the next few months.
Nokia 8310, Nokia 6310, Ericsson T39 or Ericsson T68.
Bluetooth Headset – Bluetooth may be dead, the headset might be perceived as wankerish, but I think this is an excellent gadget, and people will get over the perceived wankerness pretty fast. (Sorry CM)
– A new colour PocketPC based PDA (not a Compaq IPAQ).
Wireless 802.11b PC Card
– A reasonable portable audio solution, still undecided on a MiniDisc or an MP3 player with a hard disk.
– A small 8″-10″ powered subwoofer – must be apartment friendly with very clean punchy bass, possibly a Miller and Kreisel.
– A new PC? Possibly, pretty low priority at the moment, perhaps by the time 2.5GHz hits the market I’ll be ready.
– High-end sound card – playing MP3′s through a nice Hi-Fi setup just doesn’t cut it when your sound card doesn’t have line-level RCA outputs. Not sure what’s available in the market. (or better still digital outputs!)
Roland XP-60 and SP-808EX. Ok, just dreaming here. I have no musical talent whatsoever, other than a love for high-tech electronic music gear. I just like playing with these things and always dreamed of owning a synth. Grooveboxes are fun too, although probably frowned on by professionals as toys.
Remote Controlled Helicopter – ok, I’m in full-on dream mode here, but I’ve always wanted one these :)
