Quick update..

In London now, trying to find a place to live. Currently staying at a hotel near Paddington Station. As with this time last year when we were in London it is bloody hot, shorts and t-shirt weather.
Had a good time in Singapore -- did lots of shopping, we bought a 30GB iPod each at AUD$787 after duty free etc. Of course we still can't get the fucking things to work, mine now just boots up and shows a folder with an explanation mark and then shuts down. I suspect it will need to be returned for service as the suggested remedies on the Apple Support site do not work -- Window says it is an unrecognised USB device and the iPod Update/Restorer does not recognise it. So that's two iPods I've trashed trying to get them to work with Windows. Our third iPod is still sealed in the box as we are too scared to open that one for fear we'll trash it as well trying to get it running under Windows. My impression of Apple continues to drop.
I wasn't at the airshow on the weekend that had the fatal crash, however the Spitfire and pilots killed were to be performing at the Air Tattoo this weekend that I still hope to attend.
Anyway more updates when we actually find a place to live and get a bit more settled.
