Ginkgo for all

Uni results released tomorrow, Puppetry of the Penis on Sunday, project deadline Monday (ie. working 60+ hour week), wonder if I can fit in Gatecrasher Summer Sound System, wonder if it'll be any good - probably not exactly my music taste .. but I so need to go out, haven't been anywhere for months, too busy! This weekend for sure!
This month's australia.internet.com breakfast forum sounds like an interesting one, featuring the Managing Director of Bang & Olufsen and the Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art speaking on trends in consumer technology product design and marketing.
The more I read about the Apple Titanium PowerBook, the more I want it. From a hardware and design perspective it is simply the best laptop on the market, bar none. If only it could run Windows. I keep trying to convince myself MacOS X has everything I need, but unfortunately it doesn't, most of the development tools I use are Win32 only, along with many of my other favourite apps which I know are not available on Mac. Lets not forget the total lack of games support for Mac. So I live in hope that one of the other manufacturers can produce a notebook as good as the Titanium for Win32. Heh, yeah right. As usual, technology products are way behind where I want them to be. Sigh.. (could I make do with MacOS X... hmm)
This is such a common theme, there are no decent colour PDA's on the market, no decent MP3 walkmans, no decent mobile phones for the Australian market, still poor support for Bluetooth (maybe I should finally give up on Bluetooth hey CM), no decent cars (in my price range), etc etc.
Now that Telstra has finally allowed us to exceed our 3GB limits (at a price of course), I can now download without worrying. For December only I've decided to treat myself to the 5GB plan ($224!) that gives me a 1.5MB connection. Since the new plans were announced I've gotten a little carried away I downloaded 5.1GB so far, 2.1GB over my limit for November. I wonder if they'll be enforcing AUP on the eve of introducing the new charges in December for transfers over 3GB, I hope not.
