Looking back through my weblog history in 2025, I decided to take a novel approach to revisiting years of posts. By processing my complete archive through Claude 3.5 Sonnet, I generated annual summaries that traced the evolution of my interests, passions, and preoccupations between 1998 and 2012. While these AI-generated recaps hold only personal significance to me, they offer a interesting lens through which to examine how my pursuits and perspectives have shifted—or remained surprisingly constant—over the years leading up to 2025. I also processed all the geo location tags from my Photo album by month and year to produce travel recaps with Claude Sonnet and ChatGPT - the results are surprisingly good (if a little AI embellished) building an interesting and reasonably accurate travel narrative. This retrospective analysis breathed new life into my archived content, transforming it from a static collection into an illuminating journey through time. It’s AI generated so some things might be true, but probably aren’t.
